Eco-Management and Audit Scheme
As an EU organisation, the ETF is dedicated to reducing its environmental impact and promoting long-term sustainable development. Since 2021, our environmental management practices have been certified under the EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS), reflecting our ongoing commitment to integrating environmental responsibility into our operations and decision-making.
Cycle-Friendly Employer certification – Silver Award

In March 2025, the ETF was proud to receive the Cycle-Friendly Employer certification in recognition of the measures we’ve implemented to encourage and support cycling to work.
The Silver Award, issued jointly by the Italian Environment and Bicycle Federation (FIAB) and the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF), acknowledges our efforts to create a workplace that actively promotes and facilitates bicycle use.
Cycling to work not only reduces our environmental footprint but also contributes to the physical and mental well-being of our staff — fostering a healthier, happier workforce. This is a great achievement, and we are already working towards the Gold level!
ETF and the environment
In October 2019, we adopted our environmental policy and started our environmental management project that aims to:
- reduce carbon dioxide emissions
- promote the efficient use of energy, water and paper, and reduce waste
- incorporate environmental guidelines into procurement procedures
- ensure appropriate behaviour and commitment through training and by increasing awareness
- take preventive measures to counter pollution
- ensure compliance with the necessary requirements
- provide sufficient resources for its environmental management system
- promote transparent communication and dialogue.
The ETF remains committed to sustainability and the ongoing enhancement of its environmentally responsible practices.
