Teaching with Artificial Intelligence - how to unlock AI in education?

Since 2022, Generative AI has inspired significant changes in education, potentially profoundly transforming teaching and learning practices. How to integrate AI into schools has become a critical issue for both teachers and students. 

Educational institutions need to support teachers in embedding AI in their lessons by offering professional development programs to raise awareness and address challenges and opportunities in using AI in education and training. When discussing and using AI with students, it is vital to help teachers understand how the technology works, its ethical implications, and how it might influence their future careers. Enhancing students' AI literacy in this way prepares them for a tech-driven world. 

In 2024 the ETF Community of Innovative Educators launched a New Learning Club dedicated to “Teaching with Artificial Intelligence”. This webinar presents the results of the Club so far, and more specifically a guide for schools and educators on integrating Artificial Intelligence into their teaching practices. The guide covers everything from identifying educational challenges to assessing AI readiness and implementing solutions, providing valuable insights for teachers looking to enhance their teaching methods with AI technology. 

During the webinar we are going to: 

• Present key contributions on AI and innovation in teaching and learning; 
• Showcase the results of the work of the Club members; 
• Discuss how to shape the work of the of the Club in 2025
