Bridging the skills gap: embracing digital transformation
The proliferation of digital technologies has significantly impacted economic landscapes and work dynamics. This report delves into how digitalisation and automation influence job tasks, skills requirements, and workers’ strategies for skills development in six ETF Partner Countries. By examining these changes, the survey provides valuable insights into the current and future needs of the workforce, which are crucial for policymakers and practitionersaiming to foster a resilient and adaptable workforce in an increasingly digital world.
The analysis is based on the second European Skills and Jobs survey (ESJS), which has been developed by the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop)and further implemented by the European Training Foundation (ETF) in countries neighbouring the EU. Conducted between November 2022 and January 2023, this survey covered Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Israel.
